Jellyfish are fun.

The whole costume has a jellyfish theme with tons of beads/pearls acting as "bubbles" and pearls just because they're what I think of when I think "under the sea."
I had this pretty picture in my head of of jellyfish surrounded by a ton of bubbles, sparkling in the light, hence the insane amount of beads.

There's a top layer of teal roll hemmed tulle to simulate water, and on top of that is a clear plate with "bubble" edging all around. The actual tutu is pink because....pink jellyfish. :3
I have a ton of oral arms and tentacles (with some bubbles attached that you can't really see) attached to the underside, as well as some more strings of "bubbles" hanging down with the tentacles.
I bought the leotard, but altered it heavily- I added puffed sleeves to simulate the bell of the jellyfish and strings of beads hanging down from them to again simulate tentacles and bubbles. I also altered the back to help it fit me better, and added "bubbles" along the neckline and a modesty panel because damn that leotard is low.
The corset was made because I like corsets and it kept with the theme.....

I curled a pink wig from Epic Cosplay because bouncy curls to me just....reminded me of the elegance yet slightly playful manner in which I envision jellyfish. I was going to make a tiara, but ran out of time before my dad came over to have a shoot on Halloween, so I added a bunch of pearls to a tiara I bought a while ago.

And of course, I bought the tights and dyed the shoes myself. I've decided I really hate those shoes.

Seriously though, this costume is adorable. And you look adorable and graceful which is really difficult to do well jumping so kudos for that. The shoes look really good though! And I can't imagine anyone aside from you disagreeing with that.

Haha, well, my issue with the shoes is that they make my feet look sickled, which breaks the line and therefore doesn't look so pretty. If you look at my left leg it's all good until you get to my foot which looks like it's turned inward. Plus, they're too narrow for my toesies. It hurts!
That's really why I don't like them. :'D
